One of the standout features of the new Power Watchdog is the addition of built-in Wi-Fi, which complements its existing Bluetooth technology. This integration allows RVers to stay connected and in control from anywhere in the world without the need for extra hardware. With Wi-Fi, users can effortlessly monitor and manage their RV's power systems remotely, ensuring they are always informed and prepared.

The Power Watchdog is more than just a surge protector – it's a complete power management ecosystem for your RV. It continuously monitors for a range of faults multiple times per second. Standard surge protector models alert you when an issue is detected, while Auto Shutoff/EPO models immediately cut power to your RV, alert you, and automatically restore power once the fault has been resolved and stays resolved for 90 seconds. With the redesigned mobile app, you can control settings such as light brightness, track past faults, monitor energy consumption, reset the consumption meter, and get notified of faults anywhere you have cell service. Auto Shutoff/EPO models also allow you to remotely cut and restore power to your RV.

The second-generation Power Watchdog also features Hughes' patented, replaceable surge module. In the event of severe power spikes, users can simply replace the module instead of the entire unit, making maintenance easy and cost-effective.

Compatibility:

Note: Auto Shutoff/EPO models automatically shut down power if voltage drops below 104 or rises above 132V. Once power conditions are stable for at least 90 seconds, the unit will turn back on automatically. Hardwired models are internally mounted and include a built-on mounting bracket with foam pads to dampen noise/vibration, plus cable clamps and cable stress relief clamps. For 50A Auto Shutoff models used with a Victron MultiPlus-II, Quattro, or similar inverter, you may need to disable load-side neutral detection / the Ground-Neutral relay in the Watchdog app or inverter programming to prevent false E8 codes.
