The Curt weight distribution hitch is designed to improve control when towing by leveling the trailer and redistributing tongue weight more evenly across the vehicle and trailer axles. It is ideal for travel trailers, campers, and other large loads. This trunnion bar hitch includes a heavy-duty formed head, forged steel spring bars, and an integrated sway control unit for added stability. It comes with a standard 2" x 2" shank (compatible with class 3, 4 and most class 5 hitches; a 2 1/2" replacement shank may be required for larger receivers) and includes hook-up brackets, safety chains, a trailer ball, and pin and clip. Rated for up to 10,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 1,000 lbs tongue weight, this system provides durable performance with a carbide powder coat finish that resists rust, scratches, and UV damage. For maximum sway management, the included sway control kit (#17200) adds a sway control unit, trailer balls, reinforcement plate, and attachment clips.
